Mission:
Autonomous mobile robots will help with critical, labor intensive, and dangerous tasks in the construction, electric power, defense, and manufacturing industries. This will greatly reduce potential injuries and death while improving productivity and workers' overall quality of life. Unfortunately, technical challenges in both hardware and software currently limit this vision in many application areas. As an experienced and proficient roboticist, my research mission is to make this vision reality by using model-based approaches to create new hardware and intelligent software for this next generation of autonomous robots.
